What is your favourite card you’ve designed for Sunshine Llama, and why?

My favourite is probably the hermit crab as it’s an accurate depiction of me.

Can you tell us a little bit more about your design process? What do you enjoy most about the design process?

I don’t usually sit down to design but do it when inspiration strikes. Alongside coffee and music, I enjoy the dynamic nature of the work and having the opportunity to step out of your comfort zone.

How did you get into illustration/design?

I got into photography first, then it just kind of evolved from there. At first, I was doing it as a second job until I built a good portfolio and a client base. I realised I love the freedom and flexibility, so it eventually became a full-time gig.

Where do you find inspiration?

In my heart. And Tiktok 🙂 On a serious note, inspiration can be found literally everywhere if you’re observant enough.

Who is your favourite designer/artist/creative person?

It’s difficult to single someone out, as they all work in different mediums, but if I have to, it would be Francesca Woodman.

Do you have any top tips for aspiring designers?

Don’t sell yourself short. It took me a long time to start asking to be paid fairly and to be able to appreciate my knowledge and expertise. The sooner you start taking yourself seriously, the sooner others will too. Be confident, but not arrogant. Also, dare to be different. It’s important to set yourself apart in such a competitive market.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself 🙂

Wow, what a whopper of a question! I’m an elderly lady trapped in the body of a foxy mid-thirties queen. Emphasis on foxy.

What is your favourite film?

I’ll go with Kynodontas.

What is your star sign?

Taurus, baby!
