Lucy Maggie Designs is thrilled to have been named a finalist in the 2022 Henries award in the ‘Best Contemporary Words and Sentiments’ category for its ‘Too Wordy’ greeting card range.

The Henries is a prominent awards show in the greeting card industry and has been running since 1996, showcasing some of the best UK greeting card designers since its inception 26 years ago. This year, the Henries received over 1,800 entries from 284 publishers, making the judging especially challenging for the extensive panel. After a considered, in-depth elimination process – with judges including buyers from John Lewis, Tesco, Paperchase, Oliver Bonas and Fortnum and Mason – Lucy Maggie Designs was selected as a finalist. The winners will be announced at the annual Henries awards dinner in London on the 6thOctober, which is set to be a very well-attended event.

Lucy Maggie Designs’ ‘Too Wordy’ card range was launched earlier in the year and features five humorous designs spanning a range of card-sending occasions, including birthday and appreciation. The collection has been extremely well-received since its debut at PG Live trade show in June, with many retailers feeding back on how popular the designs have been in store.
Lucy Nicholson, the founder of Lucy Maggie Designs, commented: “Lucy Maggie Designs is over the moon to have made it to the finals of this year’s Henries. We’ve worked really hard over the past year on lots of fun new ranges, and it means a lot to have some of that hard work recognised through this nomination. Myself and the team at Lucy Maggie want to thank the judges for choosing our ‘Too Wordy’ range, and we look forward to attending the awards ceremony in London in October!”
