Earlier this month, Lucy Maggie Designs exhibited at PG Live trade show for the first time since its debut at the industry-specific event in 2019. As promised by the organisers, it was an event filled with some of the industry’s most talented card designers and publishers. Lucy Nicholson, the founder of Lucy Maggie Designs, attended the two-day expo held in Islington, London, to promote the company’s latest product releases and meet some key players in the field.

At PG Live, Lucy Maggie Designs was presented with silver tickets from Paperchase and Oliva Bonas. Both of the aforementioned retailers were awarded tickets after being named finalists in the Reta Awards to spend with a greeting card retailer of their choice. Lucy Maggie also received a Greats Award voucher from Jumping Bean Shop – a greeting card multiple with several stores in the London area.

Lucy Nicholson commented:

“PG Live 2022 certainly didn’t disappoint this year. I was really looking forward to being back at the Business Design Centre exhibiting at the show, especially since having such a long break since the last exhibition, and the event really was worth the wait. It was fantastic to meet both existing and new stockists over the two days, and we were also lucky enough to be awarded three vouchers from the Reta’s finalists to be spent on our products, which was a really uplifting outcome from the show.”

Sunshine Llama Debut

PG Live 2022 was also a chance for Lucy Maggie Designs to showcase its newly-launched publishing brand Sunshine Llama to the many exhibitors. Throughout 2022, the team behind Sunshine Llama has been working closely with many talented young illustrators on small collections of innovative, unique and exclusive card collections. It was fantastic for the brand to present these new works to industry buyers throughout the jam-packed two-day event.

“It was great to debut Sunshine Llama publishing at PG,” commented Lucy Nicholson. “The products had such a good reception from the visitors to the stand, affirming our belief in the overwhelming talent of our artists. We’re really looking forward to where Sunshine Llama will take us over the rest of 2022 and into the future, and hope that the 2023 PG Live trade show will be even bigger and better because of it!”
