Can you tell us a little bit more about your design process? What do you enjoy most about the design process?
My process is always changing as I continue to experiment new materials and ways of working. I usually incorporate mixed media and rework my art digitally with procreate, photoshop, or illustrator.
How did you get into illustration/design?
I’ve always loved art — I took classes in school growing up and in college. After college I became a graphic designer and taught myself illustration, lettering, and pattern design too.
Where do you find inspiration?
Everywhere! But especially travel, fashion, interior design, pop culture, history, and nature.
Who is your favourite designer/artist/creative person?
A few of my favorites are Zandra Rhodes, Gere Kavanaugh, Mary Kate McDevitt, Jon Contino, and Lisa Congdon.
Do you have any top tips for aspiring designers?
Use mini sketchbooks. Practice every day. Take note of the art and design that you like.

I have a black and tan mini dachshund named Louis, we’re pretty much attached at the hip.
What is your favourite film?
Eloise at Christmastime. I love all of the fun Christmas decorations and pink. Plus Eloise is an icon.
