What is your favourite card you’ve designed for Sunshine Llama, and why?

My favourite card I designed for Lucy Maggie Designs is the 2nd Birthday card from
the Animal Ages collection. I had a lot of fun exploring and creating illustrations for
children.

Can you tell us a little bit more about your design process? What do you enjoy most about the design process?

My design process is a combination of hand sketches which are then developed digitally. I love having the ability to play around with colour and create single designs into busy bold patterns. I feel that with digital design there is no limit, and you can explore the different ideas that are you not always able to do by hand.

How did you get into illustration/design?

I have always had a passion for art and design, I had decided early on that I want to go to college to study the subject. Whilst there, I was encouraged to continue my education and develop my skills further, being at uni just confirmed that it was something I had a passion for and wanted to continue.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find a lot of my inspiration through social media, you have access to a lot of different content from other designers, artists, and brands. It’s also a good way to see what is currently trending.

Who is your favourite designer/artist/creative person?

Currently one of my favourite designers is Sheree who is behind the brand the Whimsy Kaleidoscope. I love her super colourful quirky designs.

Do you have any top tips for aspiring designers?

My top tip to any aspiring designer is to try everything and anything, you’ll find you niche along the way. I am a big believer that as a designer you learn as you go along. Always be open to learning and trying new things, because you don’t know what else you are capable of until you try.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself 🙂

I love learning to true crime ASMR before I go to sleep.

What is your favourite film?

Mamma Mia hands down.

What is your star sign?

Cancer.
