My specialest skill is starting dance parties. What is your favourite card you’ve designed for Sunshine Llama, and why?
Sorry You’re Leafing, because I love the pun and drawing sad flowers.
Can you tell us a little bit more about your design process? What do you enjoy most about the design process?
I start with quick, intuitive pencil sketches and draw the same concept over and over loosely. Then I pull my best sketch into Procreate and draw my shapes from that to try and keep the initial energy of the drawing. I love the flexibility of working digitally and I play a lot with colour.
How did you get into illustration/design?
I always loved to draw and studied illustration at uni, though it took me years to develop the confidence to pursue illustration as a full time career. It was actually during a 10 day silent meditation retreat I did in Poland in 2018 that I really sat with the idea of letting visual art go, and once I envisioned my life without art I realized illustration is what I truly love. From there I went for it and never looked back.
Where do you find inspiration?
Everywhere, but lately I’ve been drawing a lot of figures in bendy poses and I think of how my own body feels when I do yoga and silly dance.
Who is your favourite designer/artist/creative person?
I love and follow so many creative people. A few of them are artists Jeffrey Cheung, Robin Francesca Williams, Steph Ramplin, Egle Zvirblyte, and Nathaniel Russell.
